No accounts

Market Tiles never asks for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth or password. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign into.

What the app sends to our server

The app sends only the following data, for the reasons stated here:

1. A device attestation identifier. Apple's App Attest provides a per-installation cryptographic key ID. It lets our server confirm that requests come from a genuine copy of Market Tiles rather than a script. It is not linked to a person and does not survive reinstalling the app.
2. A push notification token, if you enable notifications. Apple issues this token. We use it only to deliver price alerts. We delete it when Apple reports that it is inactive, such as after the app is removed.
3. A subscription identifier for Pro subscribers. Apple's originalTransactionId confirms that a subscription is active. It also ties saved alerts to the subscription so they survive a move to a new phone. It does not identify a person and is not linked to an Apple ID, name or payment method. Apple does not share those details with us.
4. Your alerts. We store the stock symbol and the condition being watched so the alert can be checked against live prices.

What stays in your iCloud

Your favourites and watchlist are stored in your private iCloud account using Apple's key-value storage. They can sync between your own devices. They are never sent to the Market Tiles server, and we cannot see them.

IP addresses and traffic counts

When the app contacts our server, an IP address is held in memory only. We use it to enforce rate limits and count traffic. It is never written to disk, never stored in a database and never associated with an individual.

Traffic counts use a truncated one-way hash. This lets us count unique visitors without identifying them. The counts are aggregate only and are discarded after 24 hours.

No tracking, advertising or analytics services

Market Tiles has no advertising identifier (IDFA), third-party analytics SDK or attribution SDK. We do not work with data brokers. We do not sell or share data for advertising, and we do not use data for cross-app or cross-site tracking.

This website uses no cookies, analytics, tracking pixels or external font services.

AI analysis contains no user data

The analysis is produced once each night for each stock. It uses publicly available market prices and published news headlines. Everyone receives the same analysis. Nothing about any user is included in the information sent to the language model.

Payments

Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple. Market Tiles never sees, receives or stores card numbers or billing details.

Children

Market Tiles is not directed at children and collects no data from them.

Deleting your data

Delete an alert in the app to remove it. Deleting the app removes its attestation key and stops notifications. The push token is cleared automatically once Apple reports it as inactive.

To have anything else removed, email support@markettiles.com. Tell us which subscription identifier it concerns; the app can show you that identifier. Because there are no accounts, this is the only way we can locate anything.
